MBT Shank Design:
The MBT shank is crafted from flat stainless steel, slightly curved back towards the horse. It includes:

Notably, the MBT shank incorporates the patented Independent Swivel Cheek, allowing the purchase, mouthpiece, and shank to move independently of each other.

The MBT flat shank cheek piece operates with indirect (curb) rein action and is designed for use with a curb strap, which attaches to the purchase. The combination of fixed cheek and fixed rein applies pressure to the mouth, chin, and poll, ensuring effective communication and control.
